As an educational, research and service organization, our university assumes the function of a role model within society. Our aim is to share our knowledge on the subject of sustainability and thus ensure the effective transfer and communication of knowledge from research and teaching to business, the public sector and the voluntary sector.
We cultivate an active exchange with our external contact partners and the public in various events, thus helping to shape social dialog.
Lecturers and staff across our many institutes conduct research in the areas of ecological, economic and social sustainability in order to develop new, meaningful solutions.
Our students also kick start initiatives and participate in many projects and working groups at the regional and national level to raise awareness for sustainability.
