After a successful first edition last year, three innovations were again awarded the Age Innovation Prize in 2024.
This year we have once again set out in search of products and projects with the potential to make a real difference to the lives of older people and to promote their independence, quality of life, or health and create a better future for senior citizens.
We congratulate the following three projects, which were selected by the jury as the winning teams of the Age Innovation Prize 2024 after the shortlist pitches:
Congratulations to the following six projects, which were invited to pitch by the jury after the selection process:
The winners have been awarded on Thursday, 7 November 2024 as part of a mini-congress research & innovation for age(ing) at Switzerland Innovation Park East.
In addition to the presentation of the winning projects, two exciting keynote speeches by Prof. Dr Guido Schuster, Director of the OST’s ICAI Interdisciplinary Center for Artificial Intelligence and Eastern Switzerland Digital Shaper, and Dr Thomas Münzer, Chief Physician at the Geriatric Clinic St. Gallen and geriatrician, provided inspiration. An exhibition with exciting stands from the winning teams and researchers from the AGE-INT network provided an opportunity to exchange ideas over an aperitif riche.
