Master of Arts in Architecture (120 ECTS)

Study models
The Master’s program is offered as a dual-study format, allowing students to synergistically combine work and study. Over six semesters, students typically attend in-person classes two to three days per week.

Start of Program Studies
Each September during week 38 (orientation in week 37)

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the Master’s program in Architecture, one of the following formal educational qualifications is required: 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent diploma from a Swiss university of applied sciences 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent diploma from a Swiss university
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or an equivalent diploma from a recognized foreign institution

CHF 1,000 per semester, plus additional expenses

This three-year part-time program integrates practical relevance through close collaboration with renowned partner firms and includes the option of an exchange year at an international school of architecture. 

Through interdisciplinary specializations within the Department of Architecture, Construction, Landscape, and Spatial Planning at OST, the Master's program at in Architecture provides insights into all key planning and construction disciplines. As a choreographer of a creative and interdisciplinary design and implementation team, you’ll be prepared for leadership roles in managing complex construction and planning projects. 

The knowledge from other disciplines will support your search for specific solutions in your design work. In a cross-disciplinary Master's colloquium, we continuously exchange ideas and questions, engaging national and international experts for deeper insights.
