The Bachelor’s program in Physiotherapy at OST is about more than just creating training plans and guiding exercises. It’s about building therapeutic relationships with patients, playing a key role in their treatment success, encouraging self-management, and supporting them through challenging transitions. 

The Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy prepares you to take on a central role in a complex healthcare system. You’ll learn how to use movement and training strategically to sustainably improve physical and mental health. Become an expert in the science of movement and the human body.

*To obtain professional qualification, a 10-month physiotherapy internship in a healthcare institution or private practice must be completed after graduation.

Program Focus and Content

The Bachelor’s program in Physiotherapy at OST focuses on key topics that address current and future challenges in healthcare. In the 6th semester, you can choose an elective module to specialize in your area of interest.

Mental Health

Deepen your understanding of the connections between the body, movement, and mental health. Learn how to effectively use non-pharmacological interventions to treat persistent stress, fatigue syndromes, and mental illnesses. 

 

Internal Medicine

Specialize in the rehabilitation of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases, metabolic disorders, and cancer. Expand your expertise in physiotherapy for intensive care units, acute hospitals, and the rehabilitation of patients with organ system conditions.

Training and Sports

Focus on the biological effects of movement, exercise, and sports on health, with a strong emphasis on rehabilitation training. Additionally, gain insights into performance sports and its applications.
