Flow simulation of a 3D scanned canyon

Previous experimental tests in hydraulic engineering have reached their limits with complex geometries. In cooperation with the IBU - Institute for Civil and Environmental Engineering, a gorge has been 3D scanned, 3D printed and analyzed with a flow simulation and an experiment. Thereby CFD simulations offer additional analysis possibilities, which cannot be realized in experiments (e.g. scale 1:1). Experimental tests can be supplemented by the simulations.
