Automatic geometry optimization with the Adjoint method

Air refining nozzles for the production of synthetic fibers consume a huge amount of fossil energy for the provision of compressed air. In collaboration with the market leader Heberlein AG in Wattwil, the Institute of Energy Technology (IET) is developing solutions to increase the efficiency of the nozzles.
