Raw Materials and Recycling at UMTEC

The Raw Materials and Recycling group primarily focuses on the mechanical processing of primary and secondary raw materials. In a well-equipped process engineering laboratory, we develop methods and devices for the separation of solids and phase separation. We draw on many years of experience from our projects with industrial companies and environmental agencies. Numerous patent applications demonstrate our innovation potential.

  • Recovery of rare elements from waste, e.g. electronic waste
  • Extraction of metals from combustion residues
  • Research and development in the field of thermal waste treatment
  • Investigation of the quality of residual materials
  • Development of innovative equipment and processes for bulk material separation
